Thanks for the post.

The room has already been booked and there is already a person who has been keeping track of issues. I think that person should chair, or if they do not want to then we can appoint a chair and the other positions at the meeting. I think doing it over this blog will cause a little confusion.

Also, there is currently a group of owners that managed to find each other and has been discussing issues, and we will bring all of these things to your attention at the meeting.

You will all receive a formal invitation within the next couple days.

See you then!

Great feedback Anil. We are simply trying to be organized. You may you know you exist but the rest of the residents are not aware of this information. Why don't you post the people interested in these postions as chair and co chair etc... I am certanly satisfied with you holding these positions we just need to know that these positions are held. The rest of us can volunteer for the other areas if needed. The good news is that we are all pasionate about this!

Hopefully by now you will have received the notice of the "party" that is taking place on the 26th.

There was a concern in the comments from the previous blog posting that calling this a "party" was misleading.

Please accept our apologies for the confusion. This is in fact the owner's meeting to voice concerns. The invitations were printed and sent to the point person here prior to the decision to hold an airing of concerns at the meeting/party.

Thanks for your understanding, and we hope you will all attend next Thursday.

Member of Parliament Oliva Chow

Honorable Chow,

You are more them welcome to visit us at Atlantis. However, we have *more* serious issues to tackle on the 26th. So, personally, I would appreciate it if you keep the politics to a *minimum* as we have much to discuss in regards to the poor management.

I don’t think many of us will be in a party mood. At the same time your voice with the Federal government can reflect other concerns such as the environment etc.

Sorry - Just bad timing, but the primary agenda will be condo issues, politics second.

I agree with Drowning...a federal politician has little to offer us with our aim in solving our issues. However a city councillor could be helpfull. The Provincial MPP should be here as they need to create legislation to stop the developers from getting away with this abuse.

As Olivia Chow was much experience with city issues for the time she was a city councillor herself for more than 10 years she is welcome to provide effective imput

I think this was just a timing issue but it can still work

Although the timing might be bad - her presence might be exactly what we need! As someone else mentioned, Olivia has been in this area for a long time. A few weeks ago, we had a smaller group meeting, which Olivia happened to be in the building and joined in at the very end. She was a big point guard when it came to working with H&R in previous projects and putting a stop to things they wanted done in the city. We know what the objective is on next Thursday and so does she. This is not a political game or show for the residents at 231. We know what we need to talk about and do. If she can help is, all the better for us.

We have FAR too many problems that need to get resolved. This was just a good way to get everyone together.

I am really looking forward to April 26th as this may be a turning point for us.

Cheers and hope to see you then.

Hello All,

I would just like to indicate that the work being done with regards to organizing the residents of 231 would not have come together as it is, if it were not in part to Olivia Chow, her party and her concerns for our neighbourhood.

I was infact one of the residents that wrote to Queens Park (after much research and frustration) with concerns for our building/builder. She was the only member of parliament that responded. I welcome her to the meeting and would like all tenants to know that our building/concerns are part of a bigger picture, "Bill 185, an amendment to the condominium act"(Do a google search for some research).

I look forward to meeting everyone and discussing our concerns.

As a tactical matter or a simply a symbolic gesture, should we not hold the meeting in the unfinished lobby of 231? There would be more traffic through the lobby and standing in the dust and debris affords a better backdrop.

Moreover this would undermin management's effort to characterize the event as a party.

Just a thought.

I totally agree!

Management is not the one holding the event. This event was coordinated between certain owners at 231 and Olivia Chow's office.

No Topics have been moved to http://waterpc.14.forumer.com

Any suggestion that they have is untrue.

Meetings? Already discussed at http://waterpc.14.forumer.com/

To imply anything else would be untrue.

no one said they weren't discussed on your site. People are free to discuss whatever they like here.

If there are any issues, don’t forget to bring them up at the meeting on the 26th. We don’t have much time until the condo is handed to us. I’m sure the management will try to do everything in its power to make us pay out of our pockets for their deficiencies.
